- They were shot in the head BECAUSE the thugs correctly assumed they were wearing vests. I'm not suggesting that vests are bad idea, just that they aren't "the answer". Officer on the job homicide is up because of head shots. Head shots are up because of vests.

- Ooops! "WithOUT... a partition in a taxi, most assailants use a gun and the driver has no option to attempt to suppress the threat. " SHOULD read "WITH a partition" and I also meant to add... the assailant is better protected with a partition... from driver retaliation.
